Sand Blasting

West-Tech provides sand blasting and abrasive blasting for components that require surface preparation, cleaning, or a controlled uniform appearance before finishing or final use. The process can remove oxidation, surface residue, and visible machining inconsistencies while creating a consistent surface texture across the part. Blast media is selected to suit the material, application, and finishing process that follows.

Blast media is selected to match the material, part condition, and required finish, allowing us to control the surface preparation rather than applying the same blasting process to every job. This helps create a more uniform appearance and a consistent starting surface for anodizing, chemical conversion coating, or final use. For customers combining blasting with another West-Tech finishing process, the entire sequence can be coordinated in-house to reduce handling, improve consistency, and simplify production.

Standard lead time is typically 4 to 5 business days, with expedited service available when production schedules require faster turnaround. Combining blasting with West-Tech's anodizing and chemical conversion capabilities can also reduce supplier handoffs and simplify the route from surface preparation through final finishing.
