Laser Engraving at West-Tech
West-Tech Finishing Inc. provides laser engraving for permanent part identification, serialization, and traceability on metal components up to 16 inches. The marking is created directly on the component, eliminating the need for labels or applied identification that can peel, detach, or become difficult to read during handling and service.
Laser engraving can be used for serial numbers, part numbers, revision information, lot and date codes, barcodes, data matrix codes, logos, and other customer-specified markings. West-Tech reproduces customer-supplied marking information with consistent placement, clarity, and appearance across repeat and production orders, giving manufacturers a reliable method of maintaining identification and traceability throughout manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and service.
For anodized components, West-Tech can coordinate engraving with the finished surface. Engraving through the anodized layer exposes the base aluminum for a sharp, high-contrast mark, while engraving before anodizing creates a different appearance. The sequence can be selected based on the drawing, marking requirements, and intended final appearance. Coordinating both processes helps achieve the required contrast, durability, and readability.
Standard lead time is typically 4 to 5 business days, with expedited service available when production schedules require faster turnaround.
